Hillary Clinton visits bookshop

On November 24, 2016

Less than two weeks after her defeat Hillary Clinton pays a surprise visit to a bookshop accompanied by her husband, daughter and son in law.

Jessica Wick, a staff member at the bookshop, was so taken by her visitor she asked for a photo. Clinton obliged and Jessica has now shared her photo on Facebook where she has over 7,000 likes. She is a fan as you can see from her message below.

I'd have liked to tell her how, at that very bookstore, behind the very same counter she approached to ask about a book, I listened to her concession speech with two of my co-workers and we cried; how in that same spot customers and employees have talked about her with regret and hope.

We do like Hillary's style. A bookshop is the very place to lose yourself in, to retreat from your world and enter someone else's.
