Little Brown has announced that they will be publishing the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find them in November, just after the release of the film starring Eddie Redmayne.

The original book was published by Bloomsbury in 2001. It featured in the first year set texts reading list in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and is an extensive introduction to the magical beasts that exist in the magical, non-Muggle world.

Little, Brown C.E.O David Shelley said the screenplay was an “entirely new story”. It is the first screenplay written by Rowling and will follow the publication of her eighth book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

This new story moves from the dark alleys of London to the glamour of New York. Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them is an all-new adventure returning Harry Potter fans to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling.

Magizoologist Newt Scamander arrives in New York just a brief stopover. However, when his magical case is misplaced and some of Newt's fantastic beasts escape, it spells trouble for everyone …

We’re counting down the days. The book will be released on November 19, 2016.
