It seems every day there is a perfect Winnie the Pooh quote to keep our spirits up. Thanks to A.A. Milne, who brought us the much-loved bear, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore remain adored as much for their great adventures as for their wisdom.

Fox Searchlight Pictures has announced that they are making a film about the famous Winnie the Pooh author. Domhnall Gleeson (About Time) will play A.A. Milne and Margot Robbie his wife.

Goodbye Christopher Robin will focus on the relationship between A.A. Milne and his real-life son Christopher Robin. Simon Curtis will direct the film and the scriptwriters are children’s author Frank Cottrell Boyce and Simon Vaughan.

Curtis said: "I am delighted to be collaborating with Frank Cottrell Boyce to tell the remarkable and poignant story of the family behind the creation of Winnie the Pooh.”
