Rosamund Pike finally had a win for her role as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl. She missed out on a BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe and an Academy Award but got across the line to win at last night’s Empire Awards.

It was the only award ceremony Rosamund was unable to attend. Appearing via video link she accepted her award saying:

“I cannot believe that the one time I can’t attend an award ceremony is the one time I win.”

Other winners on the night included Ralph Fiennes who received the Empire Legend Award. Kingsmen: The Secret Service won Best British Film with The Imitation Game taking out Best Thriller. Paddington also scored winning Best Comedy.
