The Velveteen Rabbit

On March 11, 2015

A picture book that can be treasured and kept forever is the perfect gift for a child this Easter.

This classic tale of a velveteen rabbit, a gift for a little boy one Christmas morning, was first published in 1922. Written by Margery Williams Bianco, the toy rabbit becomes real through the love of the little boy.

This gorgeous tale is given new life through Helene Magisson's stunning illustrations. A French Australian illustrator, Helene graduated from the painting restoration school "Art et Avenir", Paris (France). She worked as a painting restorer for several years in Paris before training in the art of medieval illumination. She exhibited her work in Europe and taught the history and techniques of medieval miniature in primary and high schools, both in France and in India, where she lived for a few years. The Velveteen Rabbit is her first picture book.
