A few exceptional pieces of literary art went under the hammer this week. A ring belonging to Jane Austen sold for £150,000 and a set of four original watercolours by Beatrix Potter featuring five little pigs fetched £95,000. The illustrations were originally published in Cecily Parsley’s Nursery Rhymes in 1922.
British journalist Sophie Morgan has landed a book deal with Penguin which they are touting as the ‘real’ Fifty Shades of Grey.
In Diary of a Submissive, Sophie Morgan candidly explains what exactly an independent, 21st century woman gets out of relinquishing her power and personal freedom in a submissive relationship with a dominant man for their mutual sexual pleasure.
Described as daring and controversial, Penguin will release the title in September.
