It hardly seems possible that Twilight is turning ten. To celebrate, a special double-feature book is being released. It includes the bestselling Twilight, and a bold and surprising reimagining, Life and Death, by Stephenie Meyer.
The special release features 400 pages of new content for Twilight fans that turns the tables on the romance between Bella and Edward.
Meyer confessed that the new material is in part in response to criticism leveled at her for creating a female character whose sole purpose was to love her vampire boyfriend. She set about converting the characters to Edythe Cullen and Beau Swan. Edythe is the vampire.
“Gender and species aside”, Meyer said, “Twilight has always been a story about the magic and obsession and frenzy of first love.”
Twilight has enraptured millions of readers since its first publication in 2005. You can buy the special edition here.
