Disney used their annual expo to reveal who will be playing the starring roles in their next two live action films, Aladdin and The Lion King.
Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud, who previously starred in Jack Ryan, will be playing the title role in Aladdin.
Massoud Commented on Twitter, ‘So honoured and grateful for the opportunity to help bring this magical story to life once again.”
Will Smith will be playing the iconic Genie, the role that Robin Williams voiced in the original 1992 animation.
In the The Lion King American actor and rapper Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) will star as Simba, and be joined by the well-known voices of Seth Rogen, John Oliver and James Earl Jones (who will be reprising his role as Mufasa).
